1. Open Read&Write
2. Click the ellipses icon (three dots) in the toolbar.
3. Select the “Settings” cogwheel.

You will be presented with different options to adjust your experience with Re

• Voice: adjust language and voice type of the speaker.
• Speed: adjust the speed that the speaker reads the text.
• Reading: 
  • Check to have speaker continue to read past your highlighted section. 
  • Uncheck to have only the highlighted section read aloud.
• Speak as I Type:
  • Speak on each word: speaks each word aloud as you type.
  • Speak on each sentence: Speaks a sentence once you finish writing the entire sentence.
• Translation: Choose the default language that used in the “Translate” tool.

• Number of results: adjust the number words that are suggested with the “Prediction” tool.
• General:
  • Follow the cursor: 
    • If checked, suggests new words based on the cursor position. 
    • If unchecked, suggests new words based on the last word typed.
  • Predict ahead: 
    • If checked, suggests new words based on the previous words typed, without beginning to type the next word. 
    • If unchecked, the tool only suggests words after you start typing the first letters of each word.
  • Read prediction suggestions on hover: Reads the suggested words when the mouse cursor is placed on the suggestions box.
• Text Size: adjust the size of the suggested words.

• General:
  • Read Check It suggestions on hover: Speaker reads the suggested Check It words when mouse cursor is above word.
• Dictionary: Your own personal dictionary of words added with the Check It tool.

• Color: 
  • Background: the color that is outside of the highlighted area.
  • Reading light: the color of highlighted area that follows your cursor.
• Background opacity: Adjust the visibility of the background color.
• Reading light opacity: Adjust the visibility of the Reading light color.
• Reading light height: Adjust the height of the Reading light section.
• General:
  • Reading light: The reading light can be toggled on or off. When box is unchecked, only the background light fills the page.

• Language: adjust the language of menu and toolbar text within Read&Write
• Features: Allows you to use tool features like prediction, dictionary, and vocab list in the chosen language.

• Toggle which tools you wish to be included in the toolbar.

• Choose between a light or dark theme for the Read&Write toolbar and menus to be displayed. You can also have Read&Write follow your device’s theme.

• Sign into or out of Read&Write using your Microsoft (SNHU) account.
