It may be useful to keep emails and reminders in your OneNote notebook for reference later. Here is how you can send items from Outlook to OneNote.
Note: There is currently no way to send items from Microsoft Teams to OneNote. However, there is a built-in OneNote app available from the Teams app store.
From Outlook
In your desktop version of Microsoft Outlook, do the following:
- Open the item that you want to send to OneNote by doing either of the following:
- In your Inbox (or any other mailbox folder), double-click to open the email message that you want to send to OneNote.
- In your Calendar, double-click to open the meeting that you want to send to OneNote.
- On the ribbon near the top of the currently open message or meeting window, click "Send to OneNote" (the button is the OneNote icon).
- In the OneNote task pane that appears, select the notebook and the section where you want your selected Outlook item to be saved.
- Click "Save".
The subject line of each imported message or meeting becomes the title of that item's associated page in OneNote, and the date and time stamp of the original item is retained. This makes it easy to search for it again later.
After sending messages or meetings from Outlook to OneNote, you can freely move their pages around in your notebook, and you can copy or move any of these pages between different sections and to any of your other notebooks.
